Disneyland

Yesterday Kimberly and I went to Disneyland for my birthday and we had such a great time.  I wanted to try something different and go on a different day.  I always have heard that Wednesdays are the least busiest days at Disneyland and it made all the difference with the most wait time for us was 45 minutes.  We got to the park a little late and we headed for California Adventure and straight for our first ride Goofy's Flight School, after stopping to get a Happy Birthday pin.  That ride seems sweet and innocent but once you get on it, it takes you totally by surprise.  We then headed over to my favorite ride in that park Toy Story Mania and even though I didn't win I still had fun.  After we headed over to Radiator Springs Racer the last time I was there it was closed and the ride was a lot of fun.  On the way out we stopped at Soarin' Over California that's always a good ride and very peaceful.  When we got to Disneyland we went immediately went to the Tea Cups because we wanted ice cream and it was better to be safe than sorry, if you know what I mean.  It was fun but we didn't get a good spin like we did last time, I was able to get off the ride without stumbling.  We went over to the Matterhorn to check out the wait and the single riders didn't have to wait in line for a long time so we decided to do it.  We then headed over to get ice cream which was really good and went on Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion. I love how those rides are so close to each other.  Now it was time for us to go on my favorite ride in Disneyland Big Thunder Mountain, and it was so much fun that we got in line for it a second time after getting off.  We then went on It's a Small World before eating dinner and went on Astor Blasters and I won!!.  After we got off blasters we had some time before the park closed so we went on Big Thunder Mountain for the third time.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Today I celebrated my 29th birthday, and I had such a great day.  My birthday celebrations kicked off with a BBQ yesterday with neighbors some of whom I consider family. It was such a nice night with lots of food, great people, and great presents too.  I enjoyed the night eating, laughing and spending time with a special little man.  Today I spent the afternoon with my friends Katie, Jen and Lacey, we went out to lunch and went bowling.  In the evening I went to a Relief Society get together, so I was able to spend some time with more friends.  It was so nice from them to share my special day with me.  Sorry for the short post, I'll probably edit it when I'm not so tired and might add some more pictures too.

Coloma Family Reunion 2014

My mom and I got home yesterday from spending a week in Oregon for a family reunion and we had a great time.  We got there last Wednesday and stayed at my uncles house.  Thursday we took a drive up the coast and stopped at different places to look at the amazing scenery.  We stopped at a butterfly emporium and it was beautiful seeing all the butterflies and the habitat that was set up for them.  We then stopped at an Elk Reserve and they were there just laying or standing around, it was nice to see.  We stopped off to eat at Unger's, my Uncles know the owner of the restaurant and it was a cute little place with good food.  We then drove to see some of the coast line and it was very pretty.  We then stopped off at the state park and it was beautiful seeing all the beautiful flowers that were there.  We went to another part of the coast line and that we really pretty as well.  We stopped at a little town and walked around and it was cold so my mom and I went into a chocolate store and got myself a hot chocolate.  The four of us went into candy stores and bought and sampled candy, it was so good.  Before heading out of town we stopped off the get some ice cream and sample cheese, some we ok and some were really good.  We stopped for dinner and headed home.  Friday, Kim, Erin, and Chase stopped by to say hi and my cousin Casey, Mary, Sammi and her boyfriend Ryan came that day too.  We just hung around talking and laughing.  Corey stopped by at one point too.  Saturday was the highlight of my trip Ernie, Casey, Matthew, Sammi, Ryan, and myself went white water river rafting and it was so funny.  I went with Ernie, Casey with Matthew, and Sammi with Ryan.  It was so comical, Casey fell out of his raft, Ernie either fell on top of me or he was hanging half way out of the raft.  At one point Casey and Matthew's raft bottom came completely out after hitting a rock and Casey was left sinking, it was the funniest thing I have ever seen.  They both got into Sammi and Ryan's raft for the rest of the way.  Their were a couple of injuries I got a rock in the thigh when went went sideways and Ryan hit a rock really bad in the knee, but nothing serious.  It was so much fun and I was really happy I got do that, I wish I was able to get pictures.  Sunday was the reunion, and I was really good to see family again.  I got to meet some new family members that were born since the last time we all met up.  Monday was just a relaxing day Ernie's and my Uncles Joe's friends Jackie and Steve came by and it was really nice to meet them.  Casey, Mary, Sammi, and Ryan had to leave that night and Matthew had to leave Sunday morning.  It was so much fun to see them, we always have a good time when were all together.  Tuesday my Uncles Joe and Ernie, my mom and I went for a drive in my Uncle's Mercedes Benz convertible and went to lunch.  Wednesday was our day to leave and it was hard to, we didn't want to go home.  We had such a great time with everyone and created some great memories.

'Divergent'

Kimberly and I went to see 'Divergent' a few weeks ago and I enjoyed the movie a lot.  I was a little hesitant with some of the casting choices, but I thought everyone did a good job.  I loved watching my third favorite book series come to life. I enjoyed the added scenes that were put in for the movie to flow and enjoyed the actions scenes in there as well.  When Kimberly came over that Friday to see the movie she brought me a gigantic banner from her work.  It was such a beautiful banner and I was contemplating where to put it up, but it was too big for it to fit anywhere.  I was joking with my mom that we could put it up on the ceiling or put it on the side of our house to promote the movie, but that didn't go over with her too well.  It is now underneath my bed.  Kimberly and I are going to see the movie again this week and I cannot wait to see it again.  We attempted to see the movie again but due to a special showing of 'Oculus" two of the showings were cancelled, I was so bummed and what a waste of our fake tattoos.  Pictures will be posted as soon as I can get up the poster that Kimberly gave me, so excited :)
