Birthday Dinner

On the 23rd I had my birthday dinner with my church friends. I decided to go to the California Grill this time and it was really good; I go there a lot. My friends and I arrived at the same time so we weren't waiting around for anyone. We had a good time talking and eating and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. We talked some more after finishing dinner and then we decide that it was time for cake. My mom and I ordered the cake from Wal Mart and it turned out better then I had imagined and it tasted even better too :) After we finished some of us went to Jacob's house to play some games. I had such a great dinner and I was happy that some of my friends were able to celebrate my birthday with me.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

On the 20th I officially turned 26 years old.  When I woke up in the morning I found the house decorated. Lisa and Rachel took me out for lunch and some mini-golf. I have not been mini-golfing in a long time and was really excited to go. I did a good job, I ended up winning the game :) After we finished our game we went into the arcade to play some games. After spending 100 tokens on games I wanted to go home to spend some time by  myself and to relax. When my mom and Betty got home they took me to my favorite restaurant Clearman's North Woods, yummy it was so good. When we got home I opened a gift. I didn't ask for much this year since we went to Oregon, I counted that as one of my gifts. My mom got me the complete second season of Glee. Throughout the day my friends and family were sending my happy birthday texts. It was so nice for them to remember. I had such a great day, and it was a really nice birthday :)

Rachel tried to redeem herself from the last time we played Air Hockey but I ended up winning. Maybe next time :)The Birthday Girl had a great day :)My birthday muffin

Santa Barbara

On the 17th Katie and I went to Santa Barbara for the day for our birthdays. This is the first time I have been to Santa Barbara and it was so beautiful. We decided to go the Botanic Gardens and the Santa Barbara Mission. The drive up to the gardens was beautiful with some great views. I wish that I was able to get a picture but I was unable to. When we got to the Gardens it was not what we were expecting. Walking around seemed like we were taking a hike in the woods. Don't get me wrong, it was still pretty, just not what we were expecting. We got old with it fast and we decided to go. The Mission was not that exciting either, not much to see but at least I was able to get some good pictures of flowers. We left and we found a park so that we could eat lunch and then we decided to go home. It was an OK day, but I was glad that I was able to spend the day with Katie.

Sorry

I wanted to send out a little apology, for the past week and a half we have been without our internet.  Of course without that I have not been able to update my blog as much as I have wanted.  Today though I'm back :),  Lisa has so graciously let me use her internet so I can get caught up.  Pictures will have to be added at a later date, but at least I'll be caught up.  Thank you for the understanding.

Family Reunion 2011

Over Labor Day weekend my mom and I went to Oregon for a family reunion. We made the decision to fly instead of drive this time, which was OK for me, I hate driving to Oregon. To drive would take us about 2 days; flying would take us two hours with a two hour drive to my Uncle Joe's house. We left on Friday and when we got into Portland we met my Cousin Casey and his family for lunch and we drove to my Uncles house together. The main family event took place on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday only a little family showed up and I spent the day catching up with them. I was able to get some good pictures with my Aunt and Uncles Saturday and Sunday. Saturday for me was the most fun. Sunday more people showed but mostly it was from my Uncle Benny's side. Unfortunately, some family members were not able to make it but there was still approx 70 people there on Sunday, so I was able to hear some stories about my Grandma. I was only 6 when she died so I don't have many memories of her. It was this day we took family pictures and I got some great ones. It will be picture overload on this post. I am going to try to name people and if I don't spell your names right please forgive me, I'm only 14 and a half lol!! (inside joke). I had such an amazing time and it was so nice to spend some time with my family, I didn't want to leave. I wish I was closer to them so that I could see them more often. I miss them so much.
