Family Fun

  This evening the whole family came by for dinner, it was my birthday dinner and it was a great night.  For dinner my Aunt made me a lamb dinner with all the fixings and it was very delicious.  While dinner was being prepared we took some family photos as they came around and they turned out great.  The starter was prawn cocktail and smoked salmon, main was lamb, followed by a birthday cake, and last cheese and biscuits.  It was all very good and it was really sweet of my Aunt to prepare such a nice meal.  We spent the rest of the night talking and playing games and it was really crazy here as it always is but it was a fun crazy.  I have such an amazing family and I wish at times that I lived closer to them, I miss them a lot.  But every time we get together it is a lot of fun and I had such an amazing day.

Clovelly

  Yesterday was a very early morning for us as we embarked on a three hour journey to Clovelly.  My Aunt sent us a post card one time of the village and it was so beautiful I wanted to go.  When we got there it was very beautiful with streets of cobble stone with houses and gift shops.  We started to ascend down the steep cobble stone streets to the bottom and took a walk along the coast line looking out into the Atlantic Ocean.  We made our way into a tiny pub to get a bit to eat and I was able to get my bangers and mash, it was very good.  With our belly's full of delicious food we made our way back up the street with making some stops in the shops so we wouldn't get too tired.  As we got to the halfway point they wanted to stop but I keep on doing cause at the halfway point they had donkeys and I wanted to see them.  It felt like forever to get to the top but it was a very nice view, when we got to the top we looked around in the big gift shop.  We rewarded ourselves for our hard work that day by going to the Hoops Inn for a cream tea which was very good, it's scones with jam and clotted cream.  I had such and amazing time and today the whole family is coming over for dinner so it is going to be another good day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Happy Birthday to Me!!

  Today was a very special day it was my birthday and I turned 27.  It was the first time I got to celebrate my birthday in England.  When I woke up I was really happy and excited, I came downstairs and found a few things had been placed out for me.  My uncle made me a traditional English breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, cooked tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, and bread and it was all very good.  I opened up my cards and my present and got a big chocolate bar yum!  Kimberly and I went off to the Harry Potter Studio Tour and it was so amazing, when we saw what there was were in awe.  They started us out with a few showings and the last video of an introduction to the tour the screen went up and the door to the Great Hall appeared and at that point I got emotional.  After the Great Hall we were free to go about ourselves, everywhere we looked we saw different props, stages, and clothing that they used in the movies.  They had a room where you can fly in the flying car, on a broom stick and took pictures, it was a great keepsake.  We found ourselves outside where they had the Kinghtbus, the Flying Car and Motorbike, Tom Riddles Grave, the Dudley House, the Potter Cottage, and the school bridge.  Kimberly and I tried butter beer for the first time and really enjoyed it.  We went back into the other part of the tour where it was more of the architectural part and it was really great seeing all the drawings.  We were led into Diagon Alley and that was really impressive.  We came to a big model of the castle of Hogwarts that they used for the close ups of the school and it was really big.  Our last room was a room inside Ollivander's, where they had a bunch of wand boxes sticking out, Kimberly got excited because she thought we got to take a free wand home :)  We spent a good amount of time in the gift shop since our train didn't leave into later on in the evening.  It was such an amazing day and the best birthday I have ever had.  Tomorrow we are having a really long day since we are headed off to Clovelly, but it should be fun.
